Join the Indian Air Force: Agniveervayu Intake 01/2027 Recruitment

 The Indian Air Force has invited online applications from unmarried Indian male and female candidates to join as Agniveervayu under the Agnipath scheme. This is a prestigious opportunity to serve the nation for a four-year tenure with the possibility of being enrolled in the regular cadre.

Key Recruitment Dates

  • Online Registration Starts: January 12, 2026.

  • Registration Deadline: February 1, 2026 (11:00 PM).

  • Online Examination Dates: March 30 and 31, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Age Limit

  • Candidates must be born between January 1, 2006, and July 1, 2009 (both dates inclusive).

  • The maximum age at the time of enrolment must not exceed 21 years.

2. Educational Qualification

Applicants can apply under two categories:

  • Science Subjects: Passed Class 12 (10+2) with Mathematics, Physics, and English with at least 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. Alternatively, a 3-year Engineering Diploma or a 2-year Vocational Course with Physics and Maths is also accepted.

  • Other Than Science Subjects: Passed Class 12 in any stream with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

3. Physical Standards

  • Height: Minimum 152.5 cm for males and 152 cm for females.

  • Chest: Minimum 77 cm with a 5 cm expansion for males.

  • Marital Status: Only unmarried candidates are eligible and must remain unmarried during the 4-year service period.

Salary and Benefits

Selected Agniveervayu will receive a monthly package that increases annually:

  • 1st Year: ₹30,000/-.

  • 4th Year: ₹40,000/-.

  • Seva Nidhi Package: Upon completion of 4 years, a lump sum amount of approximately ₹10.04 lakh (plus interest) will be paid.

  • Insurance: Non-contributory life insurance cover of ₹48 lakh for the duration of the engagement.

Selection Process

The recruitment process consists of three phases:

  1. Phase I: Online Written Test.

  2. Phase II: Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Adaptability Tests, and Document Verification.

  3. Phase III: Medical Examination.

  • A non-refundable fee of ₹550 plus 18% GST must be paid online during registration.
