ISRO Recruitment 2026: Opportunity for Scientists and Engineers at SAC Ahmedabad

 The Space Applications Centre (SAC), a premier center of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), has announced vacancies for high-level scientific and engineering positions. This is a prestigious opportunity to contribute to India’s space missions in communication, navigation, and remote sensing.

Name of the Vacancy & Number of Posts

The recruitment is open for Scientist/Engineer positions across two levels:

  1. Scientist/Engineer 'SD' (Level 11): 4 Vacancies.

    • RF and Microwave: 2 posts.

    • Wireless/Satellite/Digital Communication: 1 post.

    • Agricultural Physics/Meteorology: 1 post.

  2. Scientist/Engineer 'SC' (Level 10): 41 Vacancies.

    • Specializations include Electronics & Communication, Computer Science, Power Electronics, Applied Optics, Civil/Agricultural Engineering, Statistics, and Oceanography.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification

  • For Scientist/Engineer 'SD': M.E./M.Tech/M.Sc. (Engg)/MS or equivalent with a minimum of 60% marks, and/or a PhD in related fields.

  • For Scientist/Engineer 'SC': M.E./M.Tech with 60% marks and a pre-requisite B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc. with a minimum of 65% marks. Some posts require an M.Sc. with at least 65% marks.

2. Age Limit (as of 12.02.2026)

  • Scientist/Engineer 'SD': 18–35 years.

  • Scientist/Engineer 'SC': 18–30 years (for M.E./M.Tech based) or 18–28 years (for M.Sc. based).

  • Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen as per Government of India rules.

Salary & Benefits

  • Scientist/Engineer 'SD': ₹67,100 – ₹2,08,700 (Level 11).

  • Scientist/Engineer 'SC': ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500 (Level 10).

  • Additional Benefits: Dearness Allowance (DA), HRA, Transport Allowance, medical facilities for self and dependents, and subsidized canteen.
